Abstract

Audio hightlights of an interview with Sally Merten and Liz Larranaga, the wives of University President Alan Merten and Men's Basketball Head Coach Jim Larranaga, conducted by the George Mason University Oral History Program, University Libraries. In part 1, they recall their thoughts and feelings from Selection Sunday. In part 2, Mrs. Merten recounts her experience of the Mason's Elite-Eight game against the University of Connecticut while she was attending a cultural function on campus.
