Describe your video store - what did it look like? What were its distinguishing features? THe name. The selection. I remember renting even the dumbest films just because I could.
What were the employees and/or owners like, and what kinds of interactions did you have with them? What particularly memorable exchanges or events do you remember? The employees were great. I remember having debates with the clerks about the quality of various films, actors..and so forth
What other services/products did the store offer besides the rental or sale of videos? Did this change over time? nintendo rentals!!!

In addition to mainstream Hollywood movies, what other kinds of videotapes (for example children's, exercise, or X-rated) did the store rent/sell? Where were these videos found in the store, and how often did you rent or purchase them? X-Rated, Concerts, How To. I never rented any of those. Though I rented atleast 7 movies a week

During the period that you shopped at this store, what changes did you see? play station and super nintendo surfacing. Better quality movies. The "Be kind please rewind" sticker

In your own words, tell the story of your first VCR/video player. Where and when did you buy it, and why did you decide to make the purchase? My father bought a VCR from a man that peddled merchandise outside of his shop. He paid $50.00 for it. When he brought it home he taped everything from wrestling to the news. We had a VCR before we even had cable. That was in 1987
Did you ever rent a VCR or other hardware (a camera, for instance)? If so, how often and why? We rented a camera one time for our wedding.
