Blue and yellow interior. TV's located near front of store. Very uniform in layout and design.

did you have with them? What particularly memorable exchanges or events
do you remember?

Mostly at time of payment. Answer questions about rentals/were they enjoyable.

What other services/products did the store offer besides the rental or sale
of videos? Did this change over time?

Rental of video games. yes, began to sell movies and video games.

What video formats did the store offer (i.e. VHS, Beta, Laserdisc)? Where were
different formats kept in the store?

VHS and laserdisc. Disc were located with VHS

In addition to mainstream Hollywood movies, what other kinds of videotapes
(for example children's, exercise, or X-rated) did the store rent/sell? Where were these
videos found in the store, and how often did you rent or purchase them?

Offered children's and exercise including public service type. Kids were located near the front of the store. Never purchased movies

Did you tend to rent or buy videos? Why?

Rent, after I watched movie I do not want to have old movies taking up space.

During the period that you shopped at this store, what changes did you see?

Price of movies increased. Attempts to join a rewards club.

In your own words, tell the story of your first VCR/video player. Where
and when did you buy it, and why did you decide to make the purchase?

Purchased a two piece VHS player. It was purchased in 1984. Bought at discount electronics store. New tech. vs Beta which offered a good way to watch movies.

Did you ever rent a VCR or other hardware (a camera, for instance)? If so,
how often and why?

Yes, purchased a camera in 1989. To record events or family events.
